Showcase your WVU programs at State Fair of West Virginia

Faculty and staff are encouraged to help showcase WVU by hosting an engaging, hands-on exhibit in the WVU Building, which serves as a hub of activities for STEM experiments, health/nutrition activities, academic programs and more during the State Fair in Fairlea.

    Dunn is a law enforcement systems specialist and self-proclaimed “tech whisperer” who spent a decade working in the casino and physical security sector before bringing his skills to UPD in 2023.

  • Many important WVU services may be briefly inaccessible Sunday

    Faculty, staff and students on all campuses may be unable to log into many important services requiring WVU Login credentials from 7 a.m. to noon Sunday (June 15) during quarterly security patching to the single sign-on system.

  • WVU Industrial Extension and Blenko Glass featured in Heroes of American Manufacturing video series

    The partnership between WVU Industrial Extension and Blenko Glass Company has been featured in the Heroes of American Manufacturing video series, an initiative from the National Institute of Standards and Technology to showcase the success stories of small and medium-sized manufacturers in the United States.

  • Libraries graduate assistantships foster skills beyond the stacks and graduation

    While most students know WVU Libraries as a place to fuel their academic success, only a few know it offers many opportunities to grow their professional careers. From coding to writing or researching to cataloging, Libraries GAs take these skills, make them their own and hone a path toward their passion and career.

  • Inaugural Get Moving! Classic supports Day of Play

    More than 50 participants braved the weather at the Alpine Resort Golf Course to raise funds for the Get Moving! Day of Play, a nonprofit organization founded by Elizabeth Oppe to promote physical activity and healthy lifestyles for children in the Mountain State.

  • Community forum on health challenges planned this month

    The West Virginia Clinical and Translational Science Institute and West Virginia Rural Roots to Research invites West Virginians to share their thoughts on health challenges facing their communities and opportunities for solutions from 7 to 8 p.m. June 22 on Zoom.

  • Registration open for annual golf outing to benefit dental students

    The WVU Chapter of the American Student Dental Association will bring together faculty, staff, students, alumni and local community members for a morning of golf and networking on June 28 at Mountaineer Golf Course.

  • Mountain State Innovators Summit to award nearly $300K

    West Virginia entrepreneurs are invited to apply before June 13 for the inaugural Mountain State Innovators Summit, a statewide event hosted by WVU Extension and the WVU Morris L. Hayhurst LaunchLab to be held Nov. 12-14 at Stonewall Resort.

  • Mental Health First Aid training offered

    The WVU community is invited to attend a Mental Health First Aid training hosted by WELLWVU and the West Virginia Collegiate Initiative to Advance Healthy Campus Communities from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 11 on Zoom.

  • Energy Express to induct AmeriCorps members

    Energy Express will induct 150 college-bound high school students, college students and community volunteers as AmeriCorps members during an induction ceremony at 5 p.m. Sunday (June 8) at the Evansdale Rec Fields. Jorge H. Atiles, dean of WVU Extension and Engagement and the Davis College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, will lead the AmeriCorps pledge during the ceremony.
